The teacher's cdtoolbox for Linux is a version that has nothing to do with the Windows one. It is in fact a complete operating system based on the Linux distribution Ubuntu. This distribution can be used as a live DVD or installed on your hard drive. If you want to learn more about Linux, see this course.
To create the teacher's cdtoolbox, Ubuntu was customized. See the following to learn how:
English, French and Portuguese version of Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon)
This version of Ubuntu starts in French by default. Most of the softwares are in French, English and Portuguese, depending of the language chosen at the beginning. You don't have to download language packs. The original CDROM of Ubuntu contains various types of softwares : office, working with images, games, Internet, ... The teacher's toolbox for Linux contains all those softwares and more. See below the softwares that have been added.
The teacher's cdtoolbox for Linux needs a DVD for burning, the iso file you can download is too big for a CD..
OpenOffice.org 2.3
Many improvements have been made for OpenOffice.org :

- The history-geography teachers will find many maps from OOo.HG already installed. They are in the gallery of OpenOffice.org.
For Sciences teachers, I added clipart from the project Dsciences
